Anxiety as a growing problem for the world

“The Illusion of Control: Rethinking Anxiety, Breath, and the Modern Mind”.

In a world obsessed with productivity and relentless self-optimization, anxiety is often misunderstood either glorified as a driver of success or dismissed as a weakness. However, the true struggle lies not in anxiety itself but in the intrusive thoughts that disrupt our peace. While the limbic system fuels emotional turmoil, the prefrontal cortex holds the key to rational decision-making. To navigate this evolving societal landscape, we must embrace practical techniques meditation, cold showers, reading, and mindful detachment not to eliminate anxiety but to manage it effectively, restoring balance in our increasingly chaotic lives.

The idea of breath control is frequently presented in a misleading way. Respiration is an automatic, involuntary process. We benefit most by allowing it to unfold naturally, without intervention. Forcing control over breathing can induce feelings of discomfort and anxiety.

Because Limbic system is responsible for the anxiety and unwanted thoughts. Because problem is not with the anxiety and overthinking it is with the unwanted thoughts that is responsible for the various quagmires and mirage of our lives.

Prefrontal Cortex is responsible for the logical and reasoned based thinking because they control the logical part of our brain. It is responsible for the solution oriented thinking and take decision with the accordance to the situation. We are mundane by the growing changing order of the world and overall changing of the society. It has become difficult for us to adjust and accommodate ourselves through it.

On a personal levels I see anxiety as a big problem and issue and differ against those people who are trying hard to portray it as a source of growth and progress. They are unaware about the dangers of anxiety. Because people are unaware about the dangers of the existential crisis and existential angst. For them, they are considering it as a sign of coward and lame things. Because people are obsessed with money making. They have became money making machine rather than find peace and serenity in their life.

There are various techniques which could be turned out to be effective for handling stress and daily anxieties, they can not completely wiped out stress and anxiety but lessen it to the levels of considering things at the normal levels. On the personal level meditation, Massaging the body, cold shower, book-reading, trying something new and leaving things that is making you feel bad and backward are the things which generally turned out to be beneficial and effective for the relaxation. These habits are magical to trick your mind into seeing light and positivity in your journey. Secondly, it helped you to become better from others and give your upper hand in many things.
